Hair loss can be devastating, especially for women. Although wigs and hairpieces are available to camouflage any hair loss or thinning situation, there is still the underlying problems that hair loss can bring.

There are many different factors that can contribute to hair loss.

2. Medication - Many prescription medications today have hair loss/thinning side effects

3. Hormones - just like hormones can trigger acne, they can trigger hair loss and thinning. If your hormones are out of whack, you can ask your medical doctor for recommendations.

4. Styling stress - if you are constantly styling, coloring, bleaching, flat ironing, etc. your hair, this can lead to hair loss.

5. Not treating damaged hair. If you hair is damaged you need to treat it gently by using shampoos/conditioners formulated for damaged hair. Hair conditioner can sometimes go a long way to treat damaged hair and reduce hair thinning.

6. You just had a baby. It is perfectly normal to have hair thinning right after giving birth to a baby. The thinning usually starts several months after delivery and can last up to a year. If your thinning continues, you should consult with your doctor about other possible causes.
